Penelope Reyes Towel Ring November 11th, 2018 - 10:10:21
towel rack. I wanted it to blend with the shelving that I did in my bathroom above my toilet. It isn't too heavy-duty. So if I wanted to, I could take it down and patch up the holes and put it back to normal when in doubt I always sketch it out. So I wanted to do two thinner pieces of wood to slide into the slots of the doors and then some shelves and dowels for the rods or the towel. I gathered it might drill some wood glue, a ruler, pencil measuring tape, level, some wood screws, some long skinny like trim, pieces of wood, and then I have four dowels, but I only ended up using three of them.
I measured and cut the flat pieces of wood to be the walls or the sides of the structure that I'm about to build. I measured these to be as tall as the molding on the doors that were surrounding that little weird awkward space, and then I propped them up on their sides and measured the width of it, to which I need to cut my shelves and my dowels down to.
I measured those dowels and the shelving pieces to go in between those two pieces because we're going to screw them in from the outside of the wood structure. I measured and marked where I wanted to space everything, and obviously, this is totally up to your discretion, to fit your space when I laid out the shelves where I wanted them to go, I added some wood glue to the end and press those two pieces together. Then drilled a wood screw from the outside into that shelf, piece to secure it.
