Lakeisha Holt Towel Ring November 19th, 2018 - 18:04:33
This towel bar we're going to put it onto this tile, which is porcelain, and it's about 3/8 of an inch thick. We're going to use this diamond bit to drill through it. Let me show you how we're going to do it. So here's a big picture of our bit on the end. It's got diamond bits and on the sides, got diamond bits as well, and then it's got a slot here for the clean-out. Now, when you're drilling into a piece of tile, this is a tile. This is our drill bit.
You want to go in on an angle about a 45-degree angle, or so, if you go in straight down like that, what happens is, is it just dances on the surface? What you want to do is go in from the angle like that, and it slowly makes a groove for a divot into here and then you'll start raising it up or then you can go straight down and through now this may be obvious. But before you begin the project make sure you have enough clearance. If you have shower doors, it would be ashamed to go through all of the work only to find out that your sliding door hits the bar We actually we're gonna drill two holes.
So right on center, so this is where our holes are going to be, but again one make sure not a silver chip exactly level cute. So yours would come with the kit. You can see that screw is way too short. So we're not going to use that and if it also comes with one of these wall anchors, we're not going to use that either the other number behind here is it stud. So we have to get a rather long screw because it has to go through the tile through the drywall and then into the stud. So I've got here I'll screw this I've got a screw, that's about two and a half inches.
