John Reid Towel Ring September 19th, 2018 - 03:13:50
Guest made a towel ring rip off the wall because it was installed improperly whenever installing a towel ring, you want to attach the bracket and screws into a wall stud wherever possible. In many cases, however, that's not feasible and the situations like that you want to use a plastic wall anchor to attach to basically put into the drywall and then attach your screws and bracket to that.
Typically, that will hold the most weight in most activity, taking the towel on and off the ring. So in this case, where you have small pilot holes from where the original screws were in the wall, so all I'm going to do is take my plastic ball anchor and tap it into the wall. You want to tap it in flush, but not so hard that it penetrates beyond the surface of the drywall.
Now I'm just attaching the screws in the wall hanger bracket to the wall and into the plastic wall anchors. So now I just reattach the towel ring to the wall over the bracket and tightening up the set screw underneath the towel ring and with that, you're reattachment of this towel ring to the wall is done and it's done properly.
